Ben was along for the ride with Herbstreit. He captured hearts around the country, accompanying Herbstreit to various college campuses and stadiums. Ben would even wander on camera on the <em>GameDay<\/em> set or broadcast booth.<\/p>\n<p>The college football world has made sure Herbstreit knows that Ben was truly loved by all. After posting the heartbreaking announcement, Herbstreit was quick to share that his phone had not stopped buzzing with messages.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday&#8217;s <em>College GameDay<\/em> featured a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saturdaydownsouth.com\/sec-football\/college-gameday-airs-touching-tribute-to-kirk-herbstreits-dog-ben-americas-best-friend\/\">touching video essay<\/a> narrated by Herbstreit. Many fans in Baton Rouge brought Ben signs to Saturday&#8217;s show, which were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saturdaydownsouth.com\/sec-football\/kirk-herbstreit-thanks-fans-who-brought-signs-honoring-ben-to-college-gameday\/\">acknowledged by Herbstreit<\/a>.
