This news comes after the Tigers had to return home mid-flight on Friday after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saturdaydownsouth.com\/auburn-football\/auburn-basketball-forced-to-turn-around-mid-flight-due-to-reported-altercation\/\">reports of a fight breaking out between players<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The report indicates that senior Ja&#8217;Heim Hudson and freshman Jahki Howard were not on the team&#8217;s 2nd flight to Houston on Friday and will not play on Saturday.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">The two Auburn players involved in the incident on the plane last night were a pair of reserves &#8211; freshman Jahki Howard and senior Ja\u2019Heim Hudson, source told <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheFieldOf68?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@thefieldof68<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Neither traveled with the team to Houston \u2026 on the second flight which arrived last night.<\/p>\n<p>Auburn\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jeff Goodman (@GoodmanHoops) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GoodmanHoops\/status\/1855265694926905627?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 9, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Hudson is in his 1st season with the Tigers after playing for SMU in 2023-24. The forward averaged 5.4 points and 3.4 rebounds per game for the Mustangs last season.<\/p>\n<p>Howard is a former 4-star prospect who is playing his 1st season of college ball. The Atlanta native starred for Overtime Elite before committing to Auburn.<\/p>\n<p>In Auburn&#8217;s exhibition match win over Furman, Howard scored 10 points in 23 minutes while Hudson scored 4 in 15 minutes. Neither player is projected to play a main role with the Tigers this season, but you&#8217;d like to have as much depth as possible, especially against an elite team like Houston.<\/p>\n<p>The Tigers have high expectations for the 2024-25 season. Per the latest AP Top 25, the Tigers are the No. 11 team in the country.
