John Calipari is getting ready for his first season as the Arkansas coach after he stepped down as the head coach of Kentucky last April.<\/p>\n
However, before the regular season gets underway, he made an appearance on Michael Krzyzewski podcast Basketball and Beyon<\/em>d to talk all things hoops. While the 2 Hall of Fame coaches did talk about the upcoming season, they also talked about when Krzyzewski scouted Calipari as a player.<\/p>\n “You recruited me to Army,” Calipari said. “You came in one time and your staff said stinks. Not him. He is not the guy.”<\/p>\n Coach K made a joke that they knew when they saw him play that Calipari should be a coach.<\/p>\n The expectations have raised for Arkansas with Calipari as the man in charge. The Razorbacks are ranked No. 16 in the preseason poll, and show some potential in a blowout win in a charity game against No. 1 Kansas<\/a>.
